Do you have a stressful time getting going transcribing documents? Getting started is the biggest challenge for most, or even all, article writers. Regardless of the amount of articles we have written in the past, we appear to have trouble getting the 1st line out on the screen. The very first thing I generally do to help to get started is to build out an outline for my article. The outline gives a foundation and should make the rest of the method that much more easy. Get the outline complete and you may find that the remainder of the article writing process is much simpler and faster.

Poetry is an area of writing that has a language all of its own, as contributors to the recent poetry competition will be aware. The following are some of the terms specific to the writing of poetry :

alliteration
A repeated sound, usually applied only to consonants.

anapest
A metrical foot : two short/unstressed syllables followed by one long/stressed syllable (dee-dee-DUM – e.g. “energize”).

assonance
A repeated vowel sound.

The adjective hermetic is used when describing something that is made airtight by fusion or sealing. It can also be used more broadly to indicate anything isolated from external factors. The adverb is hermetically.

Inside the somewhat hermetic Basque community here, which mixes at its own social club and at a handful of small restaurants like Bar Basque and Urrutia, which offer specialties like Txistorra sausages and Txakolí wine, the indictment has brought uncomfortable attention. (NY Times)
