Dylan was nine years old and in the third grade. He was older than the other kids in his class because he had failed his preceding year. He was humiliated and irritated, but he could not help the fact that he had so much difficulty with spelling and grammar. His instructor and parents said that he had dyslexia, a common condition that makes reading, writing and spelling complex. No matter how hard he tried, Dylan’s Dyslexia spelling problems continued. At last, his teacher recommended a spell-checker for Dylan to try, and almost immediately, Dylan’s marks improved. He was able to see the errors he was making and then correct them. A grammar and spell checker program gave Dylan his self-assurance back and helped him be a thriving student with superior grades.
