Try to resolve the personal problems that are stressing you right now. You have to have some or you would not be unfocused. Got to get your head clear and not let distractions seep into your thoughts and concepts…they will…I know!

you should stop thinking about what you want to write and just give yourself a rest. As a matter of fact, forget about it for a couple and maybe it will come back to you. What I like to do is just think about the topic and write whatever comes to mind even if it looks like crap, then when I feel like it’s time to stop I have like ten pages. So I just edit it down. It works try it.
Just write. Keep writing. Don’t think about it. When you least expect it it will start flowing and you can correct the stuff before later.
Writer’s block is a phenomenon involving temporary loss of ability to continue writing, usually due to lack of inspiration or creativity.
Writer’s block can be closely related to depression and anxiety, two disorders that reflect environmentally-caused or spontaneous changes in the brain’s frontal lobe. This is in contrast to hypergraphia, more closely linked to mania, in which the changes occur primarily in the temporal lobe. These processes, and their implications for treatment, are described in neurologist Alice Flaherty’s book The Midnight Disease. However, another interpretation of writer’s block, sometimes confused with scant output, is given in the book Silences, by Tillie Olsen, who argues that historically many women and working-class writers have been unable to devote themselves to, or concentrate on, their writing because their social and economic circumstances prevent them from doing so. It is widely thought that writer’s block is part of a natural ebb and flow in the creative process. Author Justina Headley explains in keynote speeches that for her it comes from losing touch with the characters about whom she is writing; and that by discovering who they are again, the block disintegrates.
[edit] Writer’s block as a chronic problem
There have been cases where writer’s block has lasted for years or decades. The most notable example of this in modern literary history was Henry Roth’s writer’s block which persisted for sixty years and was caused by a combination of depression, political problems, and an unwillingness to confront past problems. This kind of writer’s block seems to be quite rare, and most writer’s block lasts between an hour and a week, sometimes over a month.[citation needed] Writer’s block has caused problems for writers using the serial form, such as Stephen King’s The Green Mile or Bag of Bones.
[edit] Various strategies for overcoming writer’s block
Some authorities[citation needed] have recommended the following to those suffering from writer’s block:
Setting a time and write whatever comes to mind, without stopping, for that time.
Using writers’ exercises such as "chunking". They use many websites that contain numerous creative writing exercises. Writers read an exercise, and do it.
Taking a break, meditating, or doing relaxation exercises to relieve any pressure on oneself and on the writing.
Doing something out of the ordinary. If writer’s block comes from a lack of new ideas, attempts to spark creativity by going somewhere new or doing something different can be useful.
Returning to the writing after a lapse of a day or two.
Write a basic plot outline of the story, if having problems keeping the story on the rails.
Write or type out a complete short story by one’s favorite author. By the end of ten to twenty pages, the mind is properly engaged to again be creative.
Brainstorming at the beginning of the writing can help the writer by relating every point to another.
Reading, watching movies or plays, or similar activities that might bring inspiration.
If suffering from writer’s block, write about an experience of your own or of a person you know. It’s not the best strategy, but it will work if all else fails.
[edit] Other kind of creative blocks
The loss of inspiration can happen in almost anyway, second most common is artist block where one cannot be inspired to create new pictures of art.

eat lots of brain food and relax, don’t pressure yourself too much.. remember that writing is fun, don’t push to hard.
Listen to music that helps you release those emotions and write while listening to the music. That’s what I do. Or I force myself to write. While going back over it ten times before being done.
hey u arent the only one who has writers block…i have been having this for over a month now but i’m getting back on track! i had the exact same problem because i just thought that i wouldn’t be able to write this story or watever it is that i am writing and when i made a move to start again, all that would come out is stuff that i really wouldnt need and then i’d just end up wasting my time! it was really horrible! so i tried something really easy. i went out for a couple of days and tried to do something else! like instead of writing and working on my story, i read many novels and not only did that change my grouchy mood that i usually get when i have writers block, but i learned how to write better!! it worked for me! i also took about and hour of my time and just got a pen and a peice of paper, and sat down and wrote all the things that came right on top of my head, but that didnt really work out for me. most others that answered this question said that they would end up with a very long list and then just edit it out until they come up with a very good answer for their story i think that that is a good way but like u said that watever u are thinking about and u put it down on paper and u get garbage and things that u know wouldnt work, then there’s no point in doing that!! what i’ve been doing is stop thinking about my story or watever that i’m working on and start doing something that would take my mind off of it…like i went sky-diving the other day and i really really liked it!!! but when i’m reading books, i’m always on a look out for tips that would make me a better writer…. so i’m in a way not thinking about it but then again i’m always on a lookout…..so take some time off for some time and do something that u enjoy but dont completely forget about your work! lol….=)…i must sound really weird but it acutally works! i mean i speak from an experience and writers block has been with me for a month now but i’m really on my way to writing my story!!!
i hope that it helps because it helps me alot…and sometimes even when i have writers block and i am doing something else to take my mind off of my writing, i come across a time when i WANT to write more of my story because i guess my writer’s block is cured, so sometimes the right time comes to you, i guess sometimes all u have to do is wait….i know i dont make sence but try getting watever u can from my answer and see if it works!!
gud luck!!
most writers say that writers block does not exist, instead of trying to write just sit and think about it for a while, if you come up with something don’t try to write. Write only after about two days just sit and think
Good luck!!
