WRITERS BLOCK?

4

I know what it is, I know how it works I JUST WANT IT TO GO AWAY!!!
You’d think that a writer is creative enough but I have been going through bouts of depression (for personal reasons) and I need a new twist to the story.

Oooh, I hope you overcome your depression completely, and don’t resort to anything drastic.

Try free-writing. Just set a clock timer for ten or fifteen minutes and write random stuff. Don’t worry about editing. Don’t fix anything. You can even start out with something like, "I don’t know what in the world I’m going to write about, but I’ll give it a shot. I might wanna talk about my dog…"

Then, if you have a story already going, try to write an alternate version of an important scene. Change the point-of-view character, change the style, etc.

Then just re-read your work, and think as a reader. If you were the reader, what would you expect to happen? What would you be shocked to see happen? Avoid what you expect, go for what you don’t!

Good luck!!

use your personal life for the new twist. of course, change the names and some of the circumstances (to protect the innocent) LOL!! but use what’s going on in your life and make it work for your writing.
God Bless!!!

what story? sometimes it helps to give a synopsis to fellow writers & ask for feedback on a paragraph or sentence that could be given to you to help you ease into another direction. you need a muse…inspiration…or maybe take a long relaxing bubble bath or hot shower, light some candles, get a massage, listen to soothing music. then, hit the computer again or paper/pen. good luck

Wo0o00o0o YOU ANSWERED MY DATING QUESTION!

Well the worst thing that you can do when you’ve got a writer’s block is not sit there and think of what to write staring into space….Nooo!

Go for a breath of fresh air, or make some coffee, play with a pet, take your mind of it for a half hour, then come back to it…

Also, let your imagination run wild, the way you write a story is never wrong

As for the depression, try hanging out with some girlfriends, or go shopping with your mom, give yourself a makeover, or something fun that interests you, or makes you feel good.

If you have some problems, or issues communicate to your family/friends/pet about it!

Hope that helped, and can’t wait to read your story!
